There are two main methods for giving medicine to a cat: on the base of the tongue and behind the cheek. The first option is more preferable, since in this case the cat will not vomit. You should give the drops to your cat as follows:
- Securely secure the cat. It is difficult to do this on your own, so ask your family for help.
- Carefully open the fluffy's mouth, and then apply the required number of drops to the root of the tongue. This can be done with a syringe; in this case, it is better to dilute the medicine with a small amount of milk or water.
- Make sure that your mustache has swallowed the product, and only then release it.

The natural composition of the drug allows it to be used for treatment and prevention in all categories of cats, including pregnant and lactating cats. The drops are force-fed by pouring them onto the root of the cat’s tongue or into the corner of the mouth, behind the cheek. The drug is given to the animal 1 hour before meals - this increases the effectiveness of the active ingredients. In situations where the animal refuses to drink the pure drug, a measured amount of drops is diluted in a small volume of water and dispensed from a syringe without a needle. For 1 kg of animal body weight, 3 drops of Urolex are measured. The frequency of drinking is 3 times a day, with approximately equal intervals between each dose. The total duration of the course of treatment is determined individually by the veterinarian. Continuous use of the drug should not exceed 1 month.

Urolex is prescribed by a specialist for acute and chronic diseases of the kidneys and urinary system. These diseases include the following:

Urological drops UROLEX are used:
- - for acute and chronic diseases of the bladder and kidneys in dogs and cats;
- — for the prevention and treatment of urolithiasis in dogs and cats, including after removal of stones.
Composition:
UROLEX urological drops are made on the basis of natural plant extracts: bearberry leaves, Canadian goldenrod herb, birch leaves, horsetail herb. The plant extracts included in the drug have an antiseptic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory effect on the genitourinary system, and have a mild diuretic and analgesic effect. Standardized dry plant extracts are used to produce herbal medicine. UROLEX urological drops do not contain sugar or ethyl alcohol.
Bearberry Leaf Extract
contains phenolic glycosides, arbutin and methylarbutin, which, when released into the urine, are hydrolyzed to form hydroquinone and methylhydroquinone, which have a bacteriostatic effect in the urinary tract and bladder.
Goldenrod Herb Extract
contains flavonoids, saponins and phenol glycosides. It has a pronounced diuretic and anti-inflammatory effect mainly due to saponins and flavonoids. Relaxes the smooth muscles of the urinary tract and promotes the passage of small stones, has an analgesic effect.
Birch leaf extract

1. General information
1. Trade name: Uroleks urological drops
(Urolex guttae urologicae).
International nonproprietary name:
betula+ solidago canadensis + equisetum arvense + arctostaphylos uva-ursi spreng.
2. Dosage form: solution for oral use.
Urolex in 100 ml contains as active ingredients birch leaf extract - 2.5 g, bearberry leaf extract - 2.5 g, horsetail extract - 2.5 g, Canadian goldenrod extract - 2.5 g, as well as auxiliary components glycerin distilled – 60 g, purified water – up to 100 ml.
The drug is released packaged in bottles of appropriate capacity made of dark glass or polymer with a darkening dye. Each bottle of Urolex urological drops is supplied with a dropper or syringe.
3. The shelf life of the drug Urolex urological drops, subject to storage conditions, is 18 months from the date of manufacture.
It is prohibited to use the drug after the expiration date.
4. Urolex urological drops are stored in the manufacturer’s sealed packaging in a place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 50°C to 30°C.
5. Urolex urological drops are stored in places inaccessible to children.
6. Unused medicinal product is disposed of with household waste.

In terms of the degree of impact on the body, Urolex urological drops are classified as low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
III. Application procedure
8. Urolex urological drops are used in the complex treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the lower urinary tract (cystitis, urocystitis) and kidneys (pyelonephritis, grosserulonephritis) in dogs and cats, as well as for the treatment and prevention of relapses of urolithiasis in dogs and cats.
9. A contraindication to taking Urolex urological drops is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.
10. Urolex urological drops are used orally on the root of the tongue or in the cheek pouch, 1 hour before feeding the animal.
Urolex is used for cats and dogs - 3 drops per 1 kg of animal weight 3 times a day.
The medicine can be mixed with a small amount of water.
The duration of treatment should not exceed one month.
11. Symptoms of drug poisoning in case of an overdose of Urolex drops have not been identified.
12. In case of increased individual sensitivity, the use of the drug is stopped and antihistamines are prescribed.
